How is this trip different than Rainforests and Rainbows?
This trip spends two nights on the Continental Divide near the Monteverde Cloud Forest, and then heads to the coast for four nights near the beach and Manuel Antonio Natural Reserve. There are plenty of activities including: hiking, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, a sky trek ride and time to relax at the gay friendly beach. Rainforest and Rainbows concentrates on the jungle and the beauty of the interior of Costa Rica.Back to Top

I'm traveling alone. Will everyone else be in couples?
Most of our trips draw more single travelers than couples. When couples do join us, it's usually because they're looking forward to interacting with a gay group; if they wanted a holiday by themselves, they wouldn't have signed up to travel with us. Furthermore, the activities included with our trips serve as natural ice-breakers. Within a day, you'll be traveling with friends.

You don't need to pay the single supplement if you're traveling alone. We'll be happy to match you with a roommate. Pay the single supplement only if you want a bedroom to yourself.Back to Top

What's the climate like in Costa Rica?
For most purposes, the best time to visit is the dry season, December through April. (And, even though Costa Rica is in the northern hemisphere, this dry season is popularly considered summer.) From May through October, rainfall increases substantially.

There is little temperature variation from one month to another; average daily high temperatures in San Jose are in the mid-70s from November to February, and in the high 70s the rest of the year. The oceans have a moderating influence, and it's virtually unknown for temperatures to hit the 90s.

At sea level (such as Manuel Antonio), it's warmer, but also consistent through the year. High temperatures average around 90; lows in the low 70s.Back to Top

Can I talk with someone who's previously traveled with you?
We encourage you to do so.

Our website includes a full page of comments from past travelers. Most of them have volunteered to talk about their experiences with future potential travelers. Please call for the names and phone numbers of references in your area.Back to Top
