Scuba diving on a live-aboard with Alyson Adventures

It's easy to get to know the other travelers in our small, friendly, gay and lesbian groups.

An active, outdoors vacation with Alyson Adventures.

Scuba diving from an award-winning live-aboard boat is the perfect Caribbean vacation. Spend a week at sea with a lively group of gay divers.

Sea Squirts: Scuba diving on a live-aboard

Explore a world of colorful angelfish, lobsters - and maybe a sea squirt or two.

The islands of Saba, St. Kitts, and Statia offer some of the Caribbean's best scuba diving sites. Far less visited than resort destinations such as the Bahamas, these unspoiled islands and the reefs around them are best enjoyed from a live-aboard boat. By day, dive right from the boat into the clear waters.

Watch a spectacular sunset, enjoy a gourmet dinner, and fall asleep in your cabin -- or outside on deck, under the stars. The next morning, we'll already have arrived at a new location. Roll out of bed and right into the water. Or maybe you'll want to stop for coffee first. This is how diving was meant to be!

Enjoy up to five dives a day, at depths ranging from 20 to 120 feet. The last dive of the day is offered after sunset, when an entirely different set of underwater creatures will be out to greet you. When you're not diving, join new gay friends to explore the colonial forts, fragrant rainforests, and gingerbread villages of these three tiny islands..

Highlights:

  • Dive at Saba's renowned "Eye of the Needle", a coral-encrusted spire rising from the black depths below.
  • Visit the wreck of the MV River Taw, off the beaches of St. Kitts.
  • See an entirely different underwater world each evening on our night dives.
  • Expand your diving skills with PADI advanced or specialty programs such as underwater photography.
  • Meet some of our gay friends on Saba, when we visit this friendly but little-known volcanic island.
  • Between dives, enjoy our live-aboard boat's extensive library, movie collection, and sundeck.

Is it the right vacation for you? You should be a PADI or NAUI certified scuba diver (or ready to finish certification via a PADI referral), but no other special skills or training are needed to enjoy this week.
