No geologic feature in America inspires the imagination as does the Grand Canyon. A mile deep, up to eighteen miles wide, and slashing through 2 billion years of rock, the Canyon is viewed from above by millions of visitors each year -- but far fewer travel into its depths.

Our rafting trip carries us down the entire 280 miles of the Colorado River, through a hundred whitewater rapids, with a motor to keep us moving so we can relax and enjoy the changing spectacle above us. By day, when we're not river running you'll explore the hidden side canyons, hiking among rock sculptures of every color -- black, red, blue, and white -- and enjoying numerous waterfalls and swimming holes. In the evening, socialize over a tasty dinner as you socialize with others in our small group -- just 14 of us, plus two guides. By night, sleep under a canopy of stars, as the river continues its journey of the ages..

Prices are per-person, based on double occupancy. Tours often fill up months before departure. We regularly update our travel schedule to show the status of this and other trips.

Travelling Alone?
So are most of the people who travel with us. You do not need to pay extra to travel by yourself. Prices are per-person, and the single supplement applies only if you'd like a room by yourself.

Location: Starts and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Price includes: A week of floating the length of Grand Canyon National Park on a 14-person motorized raft; All accommodations, including a hotel in Las Vegas on first and last nights, and 7 nights of riverside camping, including tents and sleeping bags; Single accommodations at the hotel if requested, which might mean a private room, or might be a shared two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite; Transfers between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon at start and end of raft trip; All meals as described in the itinerary, with complimentary soft drinks, wine, and beer; Experienced raft guides plus Alyson Adventures tour leader; Contribution to Grand Canyon Conservation Fund; Canyon guidebook.

Not included: Airfare to and from Las Vegas; Transfers between Las Vegas airport and hotel; Gratuities for guides.
