Mountain biking in the colorful canyonlands of Moab, Utah Discover the exhilarating and fast-growing sport of mountain biking. Moab, Utah, is the mountain biker's paradise. Set between the towering sandstone sculptures of Arches National Park and the red, orange, and yellow cliffs of Canyonlands, Moab offers some of the most spectacular scenery in the Rocky Mountains, and our lively gay and lesbian group is the perfect way to enjoy it. We'll start by learning the basics: How to control your bike by shifting your weight forward or back, left or right, at the appropriate time. Learn to pop over a 6-inch log without losing your stride, and how to keep your front wheel from turning into a taco when you come off a small ledge. Then -- you're off, into the towering mesas and canyons of Utah. Start off on the varied Klondike Bluffs trail, which has smooth road for novice mountain bikers, some trickier spurs for those who can't be held back. Earn your credentials on Slickrock, the mountain bike trail that made Moab famous, with its loops and dips on high-traction sandstone. Four days of biking, about 5 hours each day, is included on this trip. That may be enough, for those tempted by the spectacular hiking trails in Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The bikes are yours continuously for the first five days of the trip, so die-hard mountain bikers need never stop.. Highlights:
