Cycling the Nile River in Egypt.

--

This tour offers a magnificent opportunity to experience the Upper Nile Valley between Luxor and Aswan "up close and personal"!

For first-time visitors to Egypt, we encourage you to join our three-night pre-tour extension based in Cairo. The extension includes a half-day excursion to the pyramids and a full-day tour of Old Cairo, including visits to the Alabaster Mosque, the home of the last British pasha, and the Egyptian Museum, famous for housing the original relics from King Tut's tomb.

The extension price includes three hotel nights, breakfast each day, two lunches and one dinner, as well as the excursions and a transfer from our hotel to Cairo Airport for the flight to Luxor. (Flight costs are not included in the extension price.)

For our November 2010 trip the extension is US$750 in a shared room and $900 in a single room.

Starting times: Because of the climate and the potential for heat-related illnesses, we begin and end our riding days earlier than normal.

Alterations: We reserve the right to make alterations to the planned route due to changing wind and weather conditions, and where required by organizational necessities. Traffic and road conditions may require us to adjust the biking routes and to use our support vehicles to move passengers and equipment as necessary.

Nile River Ship: our ship is one of the smaller on the Nile, but there may be other passengers on the ship who do traditional sightseeing each day while our group rides our bikes to see important sites and to visit out-of-the-way villages. If a cyclist would like to explore Egypt with a non-cyclist, we can accommodate both on this trip.Back to Top
